This is a late 20th Century barograph in a polished mahogany case, with bevelled glass to the lift-off lid and a chart drawer to the base. Probably made by Casella of London. This instrument has an unusual brass presentation plaque along the front of the base for the retirement of the General Secretary of the Royal Alfred Seafarers' Society. There is also a smaller blank brass plaque to the base of the movement.
