This is a light mahogany cased barograph supplied by Gradko of Winchester, circa 1985. Described in their sales leaflet as...'this prestige instrument makes a delightfully unusual gift or retirement presentation. the authentic appearance and high quality polished (mahogany) case with its integral drawer containing weather charts and instruction leaflet. The movement is of brass lacquered to enhance the god colour and has a lift-off bevelled glass cover giving recording visibilty and easy access for routine weekly changing of chart and clock winding...'
There is a blank brass plate fitted to the base for engraving. A quantity of weekly charts are included together with a reprinted pamphlet by Negretti & Zambra which explains how to interpret various chart recordings.
