Storm Lilian made her presence felt overnight. Passing through Somerset in the early hours of 23rd August she dropped 4mm of rain in two sharp downpours with winds locally up to 55mph.
The dramatic sudden pressure drop and recovery can clearly be seen from the record on one of my monthly standard barographs.
