Here’s an extract from my monthly barograph showing the first few turbulent days of January 2024. Storm Henk caused widespread disruption throughout the UK and this is clearly recorded here as the pressure plummeted to 28.7” (973mb) on the second day. Since then the pressure has risen, dramatically at first and now easing up steadily, currently at 30.3” (1027mb) as an anticyclone builds and drifts over the West Country. Consequently we are now enjoying a respite with light winds, clear crisp air and best of all, a little sunshine at last!
